The “Check Library” bookmarklet lets you know whether a title is available at your library from bookstores and other websites across the web. It checks all the editions of the title, not just the edition you’re looking at.

The Old Colony Library Network now offers over 140 free downloadable magazines!

Get digital access to popular magazines with your OCLN Library Card and enjoy unlimited access to magazines with unrestricted viewing 24/7.

To download magazines from the OCLN Library Collection you will need to set up a Zinio account using your valid OCLN Library Card and your email address. Click here for a users guide on how to set up your account, or click here to watch a video on how to use Zinio.

Once you’ve created your account, select your magazine(s).

Zinio works on PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle Fire and Blackberry Playbook.

Please note when using Zinio via the desktop:

Old Colony Library Network Announces Membership Options for School Library and Media Centers

Braintree, MA. – March 5, 2009. School libraries and Media Centers now have an affordable way to tap into the riches of the Old Colony Library Network. (OCLN).

OCLN Membership provides the school with access to the rich depth of the entire OCLN collection. Students will be able to use their school library card to place requests on nearly 1 million titles owned throughout the 28 member libraries. As they become available, requested materials will be shipped directly to the student’s school library, courtesy of the South Eastern Massachusetts Library System (SEMLS.)
